Low Rate Initial Manufacturing

Dewey has extensive experience in managing and successfully transitioning designs from prototype thru Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) into full production life cycles. Our production facilities and skill set include:

  • Welding
  • Electro-mechanical Assembly
  • Automated Factory Acceptance Testing
  • Hot Room Test Facilities
  • Reliability and Endurance Testing

We are experienced in performing First Article Testing (FAT) to satisfy military procurement requirements. Our technical team is familiar with the test requirements of Mil-Std-810 and Mil-Std-461. In addition, we specialize in testing to the requirements Mil-Std-705 and Mil-Std-1332 for generator sets.

Our production management team uses the project management skills adapted from PMI’s PMBoK® to transition products from prototyping to Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) through full production. This dedicated team will take small quantity runs (10-30 units) or full production of 100 or more units per month and deliver as promised.
